New Compact Printers from Sony

Sony announced the launch of two new portable dye-sublimation printers, the models ‘DPP-FP90’ and ‘DPP-FP70’. The printers will be available only in Korea at this time, and can output a high resolution print in only 45 seconds.
The main goal of these printers is to work with a digital camera without the need of a PC, since they have a multi-slot that’s compatible with 24 different types of memory cards. Both printers use ‘Bionz’, Sony’s proprietary image processing engine to support 48M high resolution image quality. The ‘DPP-FP90’ has a 3.6 inch color LCD, and the ‘DPP-FP70’ a 2.5 inch LCD so you can edit your photos, and see the final result before pressing the print button.

There’s a handle that can be very useful when you need to carry the printers from one place to another. The printers have a ‘superimpose’ feature that you can use to make notes on your photos. There’s even a special coating option that will keep your photos intact for the next 100 years.

Neagle, I couldn’t find the price for just the ink, but a pack with 4″x6″ papers and color cartridge costs US$ 29 at Vistek.

New Compact Printers from Sony fuente [...]

Looks cool. My biggest question with any new printer is how much does the ink cost?
