Custom toast printing

Toast PrinterLast year we reported on the breakfast art toaster, well things have moved on a bit since, we now have the CNC toaster which when connected to a computer you can print your own designs.

The CNC toaster works a bit like an inkjet printer, but instead of feeding it paper you feed it sandwiches bread and instead of squirting ink on (ruining your breakfast) it blasts the bread with hot air thus creating your desired pattern (with (dodgy) shading and all).

Check out the video of the of the printer in action, here’s hoping version two also butters the toast.

Found via Cartridge Save who specialise in ink cartridges though I reckon the toast printer is way more fun.

I remember visiting Disney World a few years ago and they were selling a “Mickey Mouse Toaster” in their gift shops that would toast the famous Mickey Mouse ears outline into every piece of toast.

“Welcome to U-HOP! I’m sorry, the toast plotter is down right now but, we have a call into tech support.”

I work at Sam’s Club and we have a Cake printer that scans photos or whatever and prints them in color in an edible ink and sugar wafer and peeled off and placed on a cake. It would be cool to have this type setup to do the same thing for toast or whatever. Kinda like Pringle’s does with their potato chips but much larger scale and in color.
