MBR-501A, a Portable Satellite Broadcast Receiver

The portable satellite broadcast receiver MBR-501A from the Japanese company Mobile Broadcast Corporation is a great way of watching your favourite digital TV programs when you’re at a train in Japan, and it also comes with a SD card slot with a maximum capacity of 2 GB to record up to 9 hours of video, and 78 hours of audio, in a total of 1.500 songs.
The MBR-501A has a 3.5 inch QVGA TFT screen with a 320 x 240 pixels resolution. This gadget has an integrated mono speaker, but when you’re at home you can use the optional docking station to connect to a sound system or your TV. The receiver is 4, 88 × 0.71 × 2, 95 inches and weights about 6, 34 oz.
The battery lasts for about 4 hours when receiving transmissions and 7 hours when you’re watching the recorded videos. A full charge takes about 3 hours to complete. The satellite receiver MBR-501A will start shipping at May for 19,800 Yens.
