Lexmark Z1420

Lexmark presents its new printers with Wi-Fi 802.11g connectivity to make your life easier. Now you no longer need to worry about all those cables, since the new Lexmark printers can copy, scan, and print from any computer in your network, using your wireless connection. The Z1420 (picture above) is the cheapest of Lexmark’s Wi-Fi printers, with a price tag of US$ 80, and can print up to 24 ppm black and 18 ppm colour.

Lexmark X3550

The X3550 is a printer, scanner and fax with Pictbridge compatibility and a memory card reader. The printer costs US$ 80, but that price tag does not include the Wi-Fi connectivity, and you must purchase an optional wireless card. The X3550 prints 24ppm in black and 17ppm in colours.

Lexmark X4550

The X4550 All-in-One cost US$ 130, and it comes with wireless connectivity built-in, a 48-bit flatbed scanner and can make copies of colour documents with a touch of the button. The Lexmark X4550 can print borderless photos from your computer or memory card, USB flash drives or even from your PictBridge compatible digital camera. This printer was designed to use your network’s security (WEP, WPA, and WPA2) and broadcast range, with a maximum speed of 26 ppm in black and 18ppm in colours.

Printers are so affordable. though I must say the ink is getting very expensive and we all know how much good paper costs. Use it wisely!

The outlay for such sophisticated printers is nothing short of amazing. Except the ink use and gee with the ability to manage most documents on line, I doubt that these prices and production will continue too far into our future of computing technology.

Wireless printers are sooo much better than wired.

I can now print from anywhere in my house. Sounds like a small thing, but it does mean I use the printer a lot more than I would if I had to take the laptop into the office every time I wanted to use it.
