Glasses Built for Speed!

by Darrell in Sport

Oakley RadarOakley’s new RADAR sport performance eyewear invention featuring the new HYDROPHOBIC lens coating technology is perfect for the sports enthusiast. Seven of the top 10 finishers in the Kona Ironman in 2006 were wearing these glasses. This is scientific proof that these glasses will make you run faster and longer. Plus they look pretty sleek and cool! If only they could motivate me to get up off the couch!

The HYDROPHOBIC permanent lens coating technology prevents moisture buildup (beer spillage), helps prevent skin oils from messing with the lens surface, and are smudge resistant (perfect for when my infant daughter gets a hold of them when I’m not looking). The glasses also have interchangeable lenses in a few different colors and styles.

The RADAR boasts Plutonite Lenses that filter out all UV and meet industrial standards for impact protection. Does that mean I can slam these babies in a vice grip and no damage will be done. I must put this to the test!

To ensure your glasses don’t come off during competition the sunglasses come equipped with Oakley’s Unobtainiom synthetic that increases grip on your head with perspiration.

The only thing I don’t like about these glasses is all the weird names they come up with for the different options…HYDROPHOBIC, Plutonite, Unobtainiom…I mean what are they smoking over there in Oakley land?

The RADAR ranges from $175.00 to $255.00 and can be purchased at the Oakley website.
