Suede covers to protect your laptop
April 11th, 2007 by David in PC Gadgets
There is nothing worse than closing your laptop only to find a scratch on the top, it makes no difference how small or insignificant it may be, and it might even be the case that nobody else can even see it, yet you know it is there and every time that you close the laptop your eyes almost automatically go to it, no matter how hard you tell yourself to ignore it. So what can be done about it? That is apart from throwing it out of the window, which is how I normally feel!
Schtickers who produce a wide range of covers or skins for a variety of products such as iPods and other electrical items have come up with a fancy skin especially for the top outside cover of a laptop, this ultrasuede cover completely covers the top surface and can be trimmed to fit, it can also be removed to be cleaned up and replaced without any problems occurring. If the suede feel is not really your type, the company offers a personalized service where a logo, monogram or you can use some custom text that is available you just need to add whatever name you may require. In fact it has to be said that there are quite a few other designs too, the range is just to big to mention, suffice to say there is a cover design for everyone.
The beauty of covers like this is that you can buy a new laptop put one of these covers on it, and when you want to sell it, you take the cover off and there you have a laptop that is in A1 condition, no scratches or marks to put buyers off, of course there is another much more important role for a laptop cover, you know when you have one of those embarrassing brands, not that I know what they are! A laptop cover hides the logo on the top and nobody knows, from a distance.
Schticker’s features:
- Easy to apply and remove.
- A cool way to instantly makeover a laptop.
- Available in a variety of styles and sizes.
- Removable and reusable.
- Made with an amazing removable adhesive backing.
- Intended for the top outside of a laptop.
Available from Schtickers with prices starting at around $20, the Ultrasuede cover is $29.99.

April 11th, 2007 at 4:02 pmI can see why someone might want one of these but I wouldn’t dare deface my MacBook Pro with one of those, even if it will increase my resale value. ![]()
