Quik Pod extends your reach!

QuikPod
Have you ever had to ask that stranger in a strange land to take a picture of your family for you, wondering if they were going to run off with your new digital camera? Well, the Quik Pod extendable handheld “tripod” makes taking those once in a lifetime pictures that much easier. I have no clue why nobody thought of this great idea sooner. I’m always turning the camera around to take a shot of my beautiful mug. Now with the Quik Pod I might actually get a decent picture out of the deal.

For $29.95 you can get a Quik Pod, carry bag, hiking clip, pocket clip, wrist strap and adapter legs. You can use it underwater snorkelling or at concerts stuck behind a guy with a large head or just about anything else you can think of…that’s not illegal!

It is made from polycarbonate and aluminium components and weighs around 3.5 ounces. Retracted, the Quik Pod is around 7.5 inches and extended it reaches 18.5 inches. If only I could attach it to my camera phone. I don’t think I’ve picked up a regular camera in years since the camera phone boom. But I am sure there are tons of shutterbugs out there itching for new gadgets to get that perfect shot!

And how do you press the button?

Good point Richard, I’m guessing you’d have to use a timer function or you could ask a kind passer-by to press the button for you :)

You have to set the flash timer on the camera itself. Would be cooler if it pushed the button for you though…
