Margaritaville frozen drink maker
I just came back from vacation in Puerto Rico, so I’m still on a frozen drink binge, namely strawberry daiquiris. After finding out the machine they use at resorts costs about $2,500, I was forced to look for a more economic solution. It’s not quite as good, but I believe the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker can get the job done.
It’s pretty much a souped up home blender that specializes in making daiquiris, margaritas, and smoothies. Anyone out there who’s like me has tried making a frozen drink in their regular blender. Let’s just say most blenders simply can’t handle ice and fruit. Well, this blender isn’t like that, it can handle whole fruits (even the spiky kind!) and can shave ice.
Now, you know what they say, when you get the power you don’t get the brains (do they say that, I’m not sure?) Anyway. . . this machine also knows when to add ice, when to add mix, when to start, and when to stop. There’s even a reservoir that ensures you don’t get a watered-down drink.
You may remember me saying how expensive the commercial version of the Margaritaville was ($2,500 for the forgetful). While it’s certainly a lot less than that, it’s still not cheap at $300. And if you do buy this, which will make me incredibly jealous, go here for awesome drink mixes.
