Paranoid benefit from Tape Recorder Blocker
by Edwin in Spy Stuff
So you’re currently living under the grace of a witness protection program, being constantly on guard against any suspicious characters lurking around who might actually seek some payback for your testimony that sent their paymasters into the dark, dank dungeon called jail. You rarely use cellphones or house phones to make a call as you’re worried about being eavesdropped upon. While it is commendable to be on guard at all times, we can sometimes get careless. This is where the Tape Recorder Blocker comes in handy, featuring a special design that blocks both digital and tape recorders in addition to a wide range of microphones that are used in transmitters and bugging devices. This is made possible as the Tape Recorder Blocker emits a sub-audible tone which is impossible to be picked up by the human ear, and yet drowns out virtually all recordings when played back.
Features include a built-in clock that doubles up as a desktop item, making it virtually indistinguishable from an everyday clock. All you need to do is place your telephone on top of it and you will remain reasonably safe from potential snoopers. Each purchase comes with a smart document holder that can be carried around, where the integrated rechargeable batteries provide up to 2.5 hours of power before requiring more juice from a nearby power adapter.
The suppression distance for digital recorders stand at 0.5 meters to 2 meters, while tape recorders have a longer range at 3 meters to 8 meters. The Tape Recorder Blocker comes with horizontal and vertical suppression beamwidths of 100 degrees and 80 degrees respectively. Its included remote control has a maximum range of 7 meters for your convenience. The Tape Recorder Blocker should not be used near hospitals, medical equipment, in aircraft, or potentially explosive atmospheres. It currently retails for £2,232.50 after the inclusion of taxes.

December 15th, 2007 at 3:39 pmI am looking for a solar powered tape recorder to send to a teacher in Cambodia whose schoolroom does not have electricity.
If you do not sell such a machine, if you have any thoughts as to where I might buy one, I would appreciate it.
