I think the Pmate is made of cardboard and while I'd like to try it, I have something similar called the pStyle (Kristacup.com) which is made of sturdy plastic. The reason I use it (but not always) is that I have come into some nasty restroom conditions while on the job. It works the same way as the Pmate but is re-usable. The back of it forms a slight cup that acts as a barrier at the rear and can be used to 'wipe' the few remaining drips. It is a neat idea and I think it works more neatly than the similar TravelMate also mentioned here.
