I got a wii last week
And my batteries just ran out
Does anyone know where they sell chargers in Canberra?
And how much
(But ill have to get it anyway,
otherwise a waste of $400)

Is this such a good idea? USB ports aren’t designed to source a large amount of power, charging one device like a wii-mote or an ipod is one thing..charging four wii-motes at once is another.

I wonder if you can destroy the USB bridge by drawing too much current.

Does the charger plug into where the nunchuck goes?, if not this will be very inconvenient if you have skins on your wiimotes.

Actually the Wiimote comes with standard double A’s, but with most of the chargers they give you a rechargeable batery pack that fits into the back like the normal battery cover would. Look closely at the picture and you can see it.

So the Wiimote has a rechargable battery, but no charger included?

Or is this a USB version as opposed to a wall-plug charger they normally provide with the console?

The Wii’s USB ports are still powered when the console’s off, just as long as you’ve got the WiiConnect24 turned on. So, those chargers would work even with the wii’s off; no need to have that 200 Watt computer on 24/7
