EV-X7 – a cool electric motorcycle
by Al in Conceptual Gadgets, Vehicle Gadgets
The EV-X7 is a new kind of electric motorcycle which has a top speed of 90mph (maybe even a 100 down a very steep hill) and a range of up to 110 miles off a 6 hour charge.
The improved performance is put down to new type of motor that is both lighter and more efficient and appropriately called the Sumo hybrid (have you ever heard of a lite sumo?). The manufacturers Axle are planning a mini version of the EV-X7 later this year for under £1,000 which sounds promising.

September 17th, 2008 at 12:10 pmLooks much more stable than a ’scooter’. If rechargeable by high efficiency solar cells or wind power, could be a great way to commute for free! American market may still be too influenced by group think and advertising hypnosis to embrace this concept, but rising oil prices, devalued dollar may bring them around soon. American physical body weight may be a problem! It takes a lot of power to move larger bodies than lighter bodies so American distances on a charge may have to be reduced or at least, for truth in advertising, given for a specific weight load. Beautiful machine!

February 21st, 2009 at 8:17 pm‘American’ bodies, huh? Thank’s for the insult. I’m 6′ and I weigh 125 lbs. I doubt that a Japanese person would get much more mileage than me. You should stop stereotyping the inhabitants of countries. America *is* the ‘fattest’ country, but I doubt that a heavy person would try to ride one of these. That isn’t a beautiful machine at all. In fact, it’s an attack on the eyes. The Hayabusa is aesthetically pleasing, this isn’t. I wouldn’t ride a chopper-style bike, either. I’d want more of a hypersport design. Change the body’s design and color scheme and I’d probably buy one.

March 7th, 2009 at 6:28 amLook attractive for the Girl, but American boy I don’t think so. Too low and too small for US highway. 110 miles max so only 2hrs local drive, can not take any long trip. Anyway, Girl like it and economy. Cost? compare with economy and function, I think little higher than it should be.
