CeBIT 2007 News: Round 1

March 16th, 2007 by Tiago in Audio/Video Gadgets, PC Gadgets

CeBIT is the self proclaimed world’s largest trade show for information and telecommunications technology, I believe it is in the top 5 list of tech events along with CES and the “Apple Show(?)”. In case you didn’t know CeBIT is happening right now in Hannover (Germany) more exactly from 15 to 21 of March.

Anyway, here is the first round up of the coolest products that were presented at CeBIT 2007:

Rock meivo LCD computer TV
Rock meivo LCD computer TV
A popular company from the UK has launched a very good looking LCD TV with a built-in computer. The black and stylish display named “meivo” comes with plenty of good features such as being HD ready and having internet TV support. It also is Windows Vista enabled, but I don’t know if that can be considered a good feature taking in consideration what happened a few days ago.

The technical specifications on the Meivo (price tag £1000 excluding VAT) can be impressive if you are not used to good computers:

  • 22-inch LCD screen
  • Intel Core 2 Duo (desktop class processor)
  • two hard-drives
  • 7.1 sound output so you can connect to better speakers
  • built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, memory card reader and side mounted USB port
  • comes with RF keyboard + mouse
  • Digital and Digital/Analogue Hybrid TV tuner

Commodore launches 64-bit gaming PCs

Commodore Gaming PCs
The old-school company – Commodore – presented some new gaming PCs which try to mark the difference on the design aspect and customization that each case can get. In the near future they will offer “street art, photography, PC game artwork (such as that of GRAW 2) and many other licensed images” that customers can pick to make their case unique.

Check this gallery to see how beautiful the Commodore cases can get.

Thanks Tiago, I really should of gone to CeBit but in all honesty simply forgot until it was too late to get organised, so it’s sort of nice to see what I’m missing.
