Recover Stolen Gadgets
No more worries about losing an iPod or a USB flash memory with important information inside (well, honestly you should still be worried, but at least now you have a backup plan!).

GadgetTrack is a service that enables you to track down stolen or lost USB devices by installing some agente files on the gadget. Once the device is connected to a new computer (must be running Microsoft Windows) it will connect to the GadgetTrack server and report the following information:
- Public IP Address
- Country, City and postcode
- Computer name
- Host name of ISP
The basic plan is free and it offers the described features, with a location accuracy of 80% within 25 miles in the United States and Canada. The company is also planning to offer a paid plan called GadgetTrack Pro, which will include increased location accuracy, firewall workarounds, custom agent features and more.
The interesting thing is that the service only offers the location information, meaning that you will need to take care of the recovery yourself. In that case you could also want to check this wikihow page with instructions to buy baseball bats… notice that the aluminium ones are pretty resistant!

These things are fine if the gadget uses USB, or works on PC, or the thief plugs it in, or… well you get the idea.
I prefer to make sure my gear doesnt get stolen in the first place by protecting it with an Anti-theft bag from pacsafe.com
