Mustek to launch couple of new camcorders
Mustek has prepped itself to release a couple of camcorders during the mad month of March. The camcorders in question are the new Mustek DV700TZ and DV530TZ that targets the entry-level crowd who want to capture memories without the hassle of tweaking the settings. Both camcorders are highly functional, including digital still camera capability in addition to playing MP3s and recording audio at highly affordable prices.
The DV700TZ camcorder was engineered to reflect Mustek’s signature value and versatility, featuring a powerful 3x optical and 8x digital zoom to complement the 7 megapixel CCD sensor. The 2.5″ LTPS swivel LCD display might be a little small by today’s standards, but it should suffice for beginners. The DV700TZ comes with 64MB of internal memory which can be expanded by inserting an SD card. Data transfer is fast and painless thanks to the USB 2.0 port. You can capture still images up to 3680 x 2448 resolution, while video recording is performed at 720 x 480 at 30fps. Additional features include an integrated MP3 player with speaker and earphones, a voice recorder, and webcam functionality.
As for the lower end but capable DV530TZ, it comes with a slew of multimedia options that cater to the beginner and seasoned cameraman as well. Of course, don’t expect any high end features with the DV530TZ, but it should suffice for casual recording purposes. Features include a 5.3 megapixel CCD sensor that records video in 640 x 480 resolution at 30fps in MPEG 4 format, a voice recorder and MP3 playback support, webcam functionality, an SD memory card slot, 3x optical and 8x digital zoom, and a USB 2.0 port for speedy data transfer. The Mustek DV700TZ and DV530TZ will retail for $299.99 and $229.99 respectively when available next month.
