Late in the 1990s a revolutionary drug made its debut in our society, relieving the fears and problems of millions of men with erectile dysfunction worldwide. That is right we are talking about the wonder pill Viagra!

The introduction of this medication certainly had a huge impact both socially and economically, just think that every day 10,000 prescriptions for Viagra are written on the United States alone. Poor the men who depend on insurance companies to lay their hands on the miracle drug, those companies in fact allow only 4 pills every month…

Anyway, if until recently medicine was only helping men and their sexual dysfunctions things are about to change. Scientists from the University of Pavia (Italy), in fact, announced an innovative “testosterone patch” that is supposed to help with women with reduced sexual desire.

The scientific term for that dysfunction is Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) and it can be caused by the menopause or by psychological problems. While women have a much lower concentrations of the Testosterone in their bodies the hormone plays a very important role in regulating their sexual desire. That is exactly how the patch is going to act, increasing the concentration of Testosterone on women.

There are not details about the release date or price. Now, I am not sure about you, but I will certainly grab a box of those patches. Then I will remove the package and label them as “Anti-headache Patches”… if you know what I mean!
