Necromanthus brings classic FPS to a browser near you

Here’s a pretty neat piece of work - Quake, Doom and the original half life amongst others brought back to life as shockwave games for your browser! If you just fancy a quick blast at lunchtime it’s there for the taking, and not a single piece of software needs to be installed to violate those strict company IT policies :-) (although you will need the Shockwave plugin for your browser)

Some of the games are just demos, some are more fully featured. I found the Quake 3 particularly nicely done - even if it was just the one level it was complete with original graphics and sounds. I still jump at the sound of the Q3 shotgun - sign of a mis-spent youth :-D
