Kingston DataTraveler Mini with Migo unveiled
February 10th, 2007 by Edwin in USB Gadgets
Kingston has recently released the Kingston DataTraveler Mini with Migo USB flash drive, making it the latest addition to the line of miniature USB flash drives. The DataTraveler Mini will ship with Migo software to provide users with the ability to carry their preferred working environment wherever they go. The DataTraveler Mini aims to offer a convenient and customizable multifunction USB solution to those who are always on the go, making it the perfect accessory to carry around for students, consumers, and even single computer families.
Since the DataTraveler Mini is extremely diminutive in size, it would be prudent to keep it somewhere safe such as a keychain or a cord. You can choose from three different colors, depending on the capacity it comes in. The 512MB model will be available in red, while the 1GB version is painted in light blue and the 2GB version is adorned in light purple. Kingston has also thoughtfully thrown in a sliding retractable USB connector, doing away with the cap in order to eliminate the possibility of losing the cover by accident during transport.
The DataTraveler Mini measures a mere 0.7″ x 1.42″ x 0.4″, making it a joy to carry around. Supported e-mail clients include Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0 and above and Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5.0.5 and above. Those who prefer to keep all their Internet Explorer settings, favorites, cookies, and history intact will be able to do so with the DataTraveler Mini. You can now pick up the 512MB and 1GB versions from leading retailers and online stores, but you will have to wait until mid-February if you have set your eyes on the 2GB version.
