Garmin GPS Review
Sometimes it’s not just about what should you bring, but how in the hell you get there. If you’re like me (a guy) you can proabably make it from Point A to Point B in record time. The problem is, Point B is not actually your destination, but somewhere a mile or two from it. Now, I’ve been wanting a GPS for years but was concerned my wife thought it too expensive of a “toy.” So I did the next best thing… I bought her one for Christmas. (Kind of like Homer buying Marge a bowling ball) And the funny thing is, she has this amazing internal compass. She hardly ever needs the GPS, so it usually resides with me.
The Garmin Garmin Nuvi 360 does everything you want and more. The Bluetooth technology links seamlessly with your cell phone for handsfree conversations. Map and audio directions put you exactly where you want to go. It can also find restaurants by genre and distance, as well as lodging and gas stations. Did I mention it’s also an MP3 player? One of the coolest features is the optional up to date traffic reports. It automatically processes the information on your route, and takes you around the problem. Now, onto the city guide… not in your car, on foot. Once you’ve decided on your restaurant, museum, or Broadway Show, it’ll take you to the front door.
I’ve been using it for a little over a month and it works flawlessly. The touchscreen makes inputting destinations a snap. Due to the small size and many functions, I don’t ever see myself having to buy my wife another one… till next year.

This may be one of the slickest little gadgets I’ve ever owned. This is the smallest, most elegant and compact all in one GPS navigation solution I’ve come across. The mapping details are excellent. The Nuvi 360 has map v8 updated from the v7 in the Nuvi 350. The voice prompts are loud, clear and timely. The ease of use is just fantastic and the visibility and quality of the display are very good. The 360 uses the low reflection screen and brighter display which were only found on the very latest 350s. POI access is excellent and can be navigated to much more simply than the TomTom unit which requires additional cumbersome steps. The attachment system for the Nuvi is superb and very secure. With the Nuvi 360 you can access your POIs directly by name rather than having to go through a cumbersome category menu and then only getting the POIs by proximity as is the case with the TomTom 910.
The new bluetooth feature makes using hands free use of your bluetooth enabled phone a pleasure. If you don’t need or want the Bluetooth feature save yourself a couple of hundred bucks and get the most recent Nuvi 350 but make sure it’s got the low reflective screen, the bright display and map v8. Remember, only the most recent Nuvi 350s have the bright low reflective screen. I believe if you get a 350 with map v8 it will automatically have the brighter display with the low reflection screen.

We just moved to a new city and don’t know our way around. This device has made our lives so much easier and has saved so much time. I am terrible with directions and often become a ‘frustrated’ driver when I lose my way. This thing has made driving so much more pleasurable and I have recommended this to many people now.

I think Garmin Nuvi 350 is the best GPS navigation system in my opinion.

I’ve been wanting a GPS for a while now for work related over the last a couple of years. I spent some time reading reviews on Garmin Nuvis and other GPS gadgets, the frustrations of customers not getting updated maps and other minor technical problems, I doubt if I’m going to spend my money on one soon. Those manufacturers should make those gadgets updated maps automatically for purchasing their products instead of having customers paying a hafty price for download and update maps. That’s just stupid cuz people like myself would not want to spend money on something that isn’t up to date.
