I have purchased 3 zunes so far and it is definitely a faulty product. The first zune I had purchased from walmart had loose buttons like it was poorly crafted, I returned it and got a second zune and I had it in my pocket and the screen cracked with just my headphones in it. Walmart where I bought it from did not bother to replace it nor Microsoft would either
So bought another zune thinking walmart was just faulty the third zune I bought from amazon.com and the sme thing had happened!! I had charged it before but not excesivley. I had an ipod for 3 years and no problems ever like this happened. I want to be apart of the class action lawsuit against Microsoft.

I have a 30 gb Zune and the Inner Screen is cracked. I called customer service and was told that this is not a covered part. Please contact me and let me know what I need to do to be added in the class action suit.

I would also like to be included in this class action lawsuit. I've had my zune for about a year in a half now. I have kept my zune in a almost new condition with the help of a zune cover as a matter of fact the original screen cover that says lets get started on it, anyway I woke up this morning and my screen is not cracked but has multiple black lines throughout it. it was not even on the charger last night. as a matter of fact I only put it on the charger as needed. Please contact me and let me know what I need to do to be included in this class action lawsuit. Thank you

I would also like to be in this because it is a design flaw and is not the fault of the consumer. I like to listen to music while I try to sleep and this morning it worked fine. I tried to use it for its nightly purpose and i turned it on and all i got was the back screen with some marks which looked to be cracks. Now I'm forced to use another zune that I found in my home (brother's ex-girlfriend left it and didn't want it). It would be nice for Microsoft, whom I have dealt with quite a bit over the phone for other problems, not zune related. I have referred people to zunes before, if this happens to any of my friends after I had referred them, its just going to give me a bad reputation. I have not yet contacted Microsoft yet, but I will soon.

I have logged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) regarding the cracked Zune LCD Screen. The screen is NOT covered under warranty according to Zune Customer support. I urge ALL consumers with cracked Zunes to log this same complaint. Even if your Zune is out of the warranty perion, this is a result of a design flaw, and should be replaced at NO COST to the consumer.

Maybe this is why they just fired the head of the Zune team at microsoft??

From appleinsider.com

Top Zune exec to pursue other interests

Meanwhile, a senior Microsoft executive who oversaw the launch of Zune plans to leave the company, the Associated Press is reporting.

Bryan Lee, corporate vice president at Microsoft's entertainment and devices division, will reportedly severe ties with the Redmond-based software giant sometime in the next several weeks in order to "pursue personal interests."

Lee is a key deputy of Robbie Bach, head of Microsoft's entertainment and device division. He'll be replaced by J Allard, one of the early Xbox leaders.

Microsoft still hopes to sell its millionth Zune by the end of June.
