This is a great idea but I don't like seeing the dog tied to the contraption, what if it fell?

I wish I'd had one of these last year!!!
My terriers were used to a good run. After I had a severe knee injury, they were the ones that suffered the most. With me on crutches for 2 months and PT for awhile after that, we all would have benefited from owning one.

My family lives in Arizona where 3 months out of the year it is terribly hot. For that reason I can see a use for this contraption but other than that, I think its rediculous. (Don't worry mom, I'm not getting you one for Christmas)

Just to offer up a differing viewpoint: I've often thought it would be convenient to have something like this. We own Vizslas. I do believe the more common name for the dog is "never runs out of energy". They're like little doggie superballs. Our girls can run 5-8 miles on our morning run and be crazy by mid-afternoon. Perhaps this just needs to be super-sized for those of us who own bigger dogs. =)

I actually think this could be useful for the elderly or disabled who haven't got the means to take their dog out for a walk. Though I must admit I reckon a big hamster ball would be more fun.
