Mousepad blasts music wirelessly

Just when you thought that the normal looking mousepad would be a dead end piece of peripheral in terms of functionality, think again. This Wireless Speaker Mousepad does more than provide a smooth surface for your mouse to glide on, but it also ships with an integrated speaker that pumps out all your favorite tunes from virtually any audio source. This means you can now listen to your iPod, TV, digital audio player, and CD player (who uses that these days anyway?) through your mousepad, but do not be surprised if the sound quality is less than satisfactory.

The Wireless Speaker Mousepad also boasts an integrated FM scanner that is capable of working without the transmitter. Volume controls are readily available on the mousepad itself, so if you want to tweak it further, you will have to do it through the operating system. The transmitter comes with a maximum working range of 50 feet, but we all know that what is presented in theory hardly lives up to real world performance. This gray mouse pad comes with a silver border and a black trim, giving it a rather cheesy look.

Careful note should be taken that this should be used as an interim audio solution and not a permanent audio device. After all, can you really live with mono sound these days? In any case, the Wireless Speaker Mousepad retails for $29.95 and comes with a 1 month manufacturing warranty. It requires a trio of AAA batteries to run and measures 8″ x 11″.
