I make egg sandwiches all the time with it. The only problem I've run across is that the egg is cooked small and round and most bread is rectangular and significantly larger than the egg. You end up with lots of extra bread. I've found that if I use 1 piece of bread and cut it in half or buy mini bagels that solves my problem! I love my toaster/egg cooker combo. It makes an Egg McMuffin that rivals McDonald's! I love the way it delays the toasting of the muffin (or bread) until right before the egg is done so both are ready at the same time! Already having a wonderful HamiltonBeach 4 slicer, we gave it to my parents, who still have 3 kids in the house, and were in need of a new toaster. They love it. They use either canadian style bacon or the Kirkland brand precooked stuff from Costco (the refrigerated kind, not the dry, keeps forever kind). My wife and I got one of these for a wedding present (wasn’t on our registry).
