The 'camera coins' were suspected as such because they had an odd looking part in the centre of them... Which was coloured and shaped like a poppy. They're just quarters. Meant to be special for Remembrance Day, there aren't a LOT of them around, and the colouring on the poppy fades quickly. I can understand thinking they look odd and you can't really tell what it's supposed to look like when it's not colored, but yeah. Cameras inside coins isn't practical at all, as shown by various articles. Unfortunately, the American Government didn’t do their research before freaking out.
