IZ3D 22″ 3D Gaming monitor
by Marc

I’ve seen 3D screens before. They cost as much as the space shuttle and were limited to strictly commercial applications. So it was a bit of a shock to find myself looking at a first person shooter in 3D on a 22″ widescreen LCD panel. The catch is that you need an NVidia graphics card – the panel uses the standard NVidia stereo drivers to produce a strikingly effective 3D image.
You must also wear the supplied shades, which translate the images on screen to the left eye / right eye images necessary for the 3D effect.
Resolution is a respectable 1680×1050 and the final surprise is the price, which at $999 is not that far above a standard 22″ widescreen display. Pre-order it now at www.iz3d.com
