MICHAEL

I would like to thank you very much for bearing with The ButterWizard Alfille Temperature-Controlled Butter Dish you do seem to have had more than you fair share of issues with it. There were some initial problems with the first model which were resolved some 3 years ago. The present model has proved very reliable, the only maintenance feature that is needed, is where dust and debris builds up over a period of time around the internal heat sink under the fan. This eventually will affect the thermostatic effectiveness and can cause the charge plug to be overworked, and consequently it will automatically cut out permanently for safety. By simply blowing down the two side vents on the unit (once every two months) this will clear any dust out through the fan area. This is now high-lighted on all instructions and on the Alfille website. This simple action will give your butter dish a long and reliable life serving you with perfectly spreadable butter.

CARMEN
The ButterWizard Alfille Temperature-Controlled Butter Dish works from mains electricity. The mains power lead plugs straight into the back of the unit and stays there. This enables the ButterWizard Alfille Temperature-Controlled Butter Dish to heat or cool your butter, depending on the ambient temperature to ensure that you have perfectly spreadable butter whenever you need it.

The butter wizard is a great product WHEN IT WORKS. I know, because I've had two of them. After several months, the first one started running extremely hot, then quit working. I thought it was a fluke, so I bought another one. Unfortunately, that began running very hot a few months later then abruptly died.

The Butter Wizard is a superb idea that needs improved reliability. Until then, I cannot recommend it.
