Petrol Powered RC Hummer Monster Truck

by Edwin

petrol-hummer.jpgHere’s the grown up version of battery-powered remote control toy cars – the Petrol Powered RC Hummer Monster Truck.

This is an actual petrol powered model, meaning you use fuel from a petrol station. It runs on a mix of normal unleaded petrol and 2 stroke oil. Both of these are available from any petrol station which makes them more practical and cheap to run. Mixing the petrol is very easy. You simply fill up a petrol can with 5 liters of unleaded at the petrol station then pour in 250ml of 2 stroke oil.

Sounds like a pretty volatile mix, so I guess having adult supervision while playing this is a must. The Petrol Powered RC Hummer Monster Truck hits your pocket with a monster price too – £349.

Protégé M700 from Toshiba

by Mark R

Protege M700

I love some of the lastest tablet technology that is out now. For example, the Toshiba Protégé M700 is definitely right up my alley.

As ninth generation technology from Toshiba, it is one of the first to use LED backlighting and an antiglare coating for a nice indoor and outdoor performance.

The screen, which is a 12.1 incher, is like an iPhone with its touchy-feely-ness. No stylus is required to access whatever you want to access on this lovely tablet.

Other features include a spill-resistant keyboard, a fingerprint reader, a DVD SuperMulit Drive 4, an integrated webcam, as well as an accelerometer-based HDD protection. It can also take still photos, video, and even record audio notes.

Cradlepoint gives you WiFi almost anywhere

Cradlepoint PHS300

When you spend as much time on the internet as I do, you tend to go a little crazy when I’m without contact for a while. I’ve gotten better lately, but if I’m stranded out at a relatives house all day without access to the net, I tend to go through withdrawals. Checking email on my phone helps, but that just doesn’t quite cut it after a while. However, if I had one of these PHS300 personal hot spots from Cradlepoint, I’d be set.

USB Santa booties keep your feet warm

USB Santa Booties

There are many jobs that I think I would enjoy doing. One that I think I would particularly enjoy would be the guy that thinks up new USB devices. You know, the guy that thinks up the wacky things like a humping dog that’s a flash drive, or a refrigerator that will hold precisely one can of your favorite carbonated beverage. Well, whoever that guy is, he’s come up with a new one. This time it’s a set of Christmas-themed booties that’ll keep your feet warm.

Easyglider X6 makes getting around a cinch

by Edwin

easyglider-x6.jpgLooks like developed nations are finding a new kind of personal transport to be the possible next big thing, as large cities get more and more clogged up with traffic in their roads, compact urban transport inventions are the way to go. While the skateboard and rollerblades have long been a staple mode of “green” transport, technological innovations have resulted in electric powered versions already, with mini-scooters powered by electricity getting all the more popular. The latest of such transports is known as the Easyglider, and that could possibly eat into Segway’s market share should it take off. This external electric drive wheel allows you to tarry along at a steady 20 km/h as long as you’re with your pair of rollerblades, skateboard, or a connected wheel platform.

clearplay.jpg

ClearPlay has just launched its content-filtering DVD player that will be making their way to Best Buy stores throughout the US. As you know, many parents these days seem to be way too busy to keep an eye on their kids, especially in the information technology age where you can be entertained from a variety of channels such as the old standby, the TV, your cellphone and video game consoles among others. While technology cannot exactly do all the babysitting for you, it could help in some way and this is where the ClearPlay content-filtering DVD player comes in handy.
