Time to hit a boob’s eye…er, bull’s eye
Now I’m not too sure whether this dartboard will help increase your concentration when it comes to hitting the bulls’ eye as it really boils down to your temperament, but whatever the case is, this is one of the more interesting dartboards we’ve seen to date. I’m giving this five minutes in the local pub before some drunk idiot starts to add some graffiti on her.

Tok Tak Plug Plays Your MP3 Files
Everything relating to technology usually focuses on how small they can make an item. When the new iPod Nanos came out, after having a 2nd gen Nano, I never thought they could make anything smaller, lightweight, with more storage and with a bigger screen – but they had. The iPod Shuffle is super-tiny and I thought, there’s no way a functional MP3 player can be made smaller than this! Even the Ultimate Smallest MP3 player has a screen and it is roughly the size of a postage stamp. How can anything be made smaller than any of these things and still play my music?
Designer Tae-wan Kim has proven me wrong. The Continue reading » Tok Tak MP3 player is the smallest player I’ve ever seen. The entire device looks like a standard audio jack connected to a pair of earphones. No clip, no nothing, it just dangles off the headphones. Tok Tak Plug Plays Your MP3 Files
NEC debuts fax machine that emails documents to your cell phone

How many of you have been contemplating your next fax machine purchase? Unless I’m gravely mistaken, few of you get excited over the prospect of purchasing one. It’s really sad that they are still so widely used; one would think that we would have figured out a better way to transmit documents by now. The good news is that thanks to NEC, you can actually fax documents directly to someone’s cell phone.

SanDisk unveils Vaulter Disk
SanDisk has just rolled out a spanking new solid-state storage solution that works pretty much the same way as a computer’s hard drive, storing and launching the PC’s operating system and software applications. Dubbed the SanDisk Vaulter Disk, it functions in a tag-team format with the hard drive in order to provide enhanced performance compared to a standard computer that has only a hard drive. Since both the Vaulter and hard drive are already integrated into the PC and operate simultaneously, you get to maintain a low cost per gigabyte factor while experiencing better performance.

Vodafone InsideOut – A Mobilephone Service for Second Life

Virtual worlds and reality are becoming closer and closer, so much so that Vodafone now offer the InsideOut service were you can make mobile calls between your Second Life character and people in the “real” world.
If you’re into Second Life, the service offered actually looks pretty cool, you’ll need to head over to Vodafone Island where you can pick up your free phone, you’ll now be able to message and call you’re online friends (even when they are offline) and when you’re back in the real world you’ll still be able to interact via your mobile with your virtual geeks friends. You do need to provide your real mobile phone number but this is kept private and the connection is made in the background.
Until the end of the month the service is free when calling from Second Life, after which you’ll be charged L$ when calling from the inside and you’re normal mobile rate when calling from the real world. I’m not sure if this has made the world a bigger or smaller place.

GroundSurf Electric Skateboard/Surfboard

It seems like these motorized or electric skateboards are the latest things, and I’ve been seeing many designs pop up in many places. The Ground Surf has to be one of the most unusual I have seen.
First of all, you may notice that it has not four, but three wheels. It is also is controlled via Bluetooth. That’s right, you slide your finger up your cell phone screen to go faster, then slide it down to go slower. Continue reading » GroundSurf Electric Skateboard/Surfboard
DiXX Digital Putter Improves Golf Game

DiXX, a company that seems to specialize in digital products for the golf enthusiast, has created a Digital Instruction Putter designed to improve that dreaded short game. Happy Gilmore could have used one of these things to find his “happy place”.
The Digital Putter can somehow track your swing path, impact position, face angle, swing tempo, and speed balance. I’m not certain what all those golfing terms just meant, but I could figure out enough to know that it looks like it could help you. Continue reading » DiXX Digital Putter Improves Golf Game
