Rumor of Apple Newton surfaces

Do you still remember the Apple Newton? Yeah, it was one of the first few PDA devices that was released ahead of its time, and suffice to say, the poor little bugger hardly took off on a mass scale before it crashed and burned. Fast forward many years later to current days where even Windows software runs on an Apple, and you are faced with vicious rumors of the Newton’s return. Word on the street even has it that the Newton is not only back, but it never actually left in the first place anyway. Sources (reliable or not, that’s a different story) reveal that a secret PDA device has been under development for at least a year and a half now, and the final product will resemble a relatively larger iPhone.

HD Radios from Sony and Dual

Sony and Dual have released a couple of HD Radios for the car audio junkies. If you don’t know the meaning of HD Radio and are interested in this “new” technology, here is a small explanation from the wiki:
The HD Radio system is unique in that it allows stations to simulcast MP3-quality compressed digital audio and traditional analog audio, without changing to new frequency bands.
Anyway, Sony has the DCX-GT520 and the CDX-GT320 radios to show off. The first and best one costs $140, while the second is $40 less, which gives a final price of $100. In order to actually listen to High Definition Radio, you will need to buy the XT-100 HD Radio tuner that costs an extra $100. In the end, the new car audio systems from Sony cost at least $200.
In case you are not interested in HD radio, the Sony devices are able to offer other alternatives: satellite radio, and compatibility with iPods plus other media players thanks to their input jack.

Graffiti your own train
Good graffiti, while going against the law, often spruces up an otherwise dreary place. For those of you who want to perfect this street art, why not start with your very own Graffiti Train?
People have been decorating things they shouldn’t since the dawn of time. Well almost, because boffins have uncovered graffiti on the walls of ancient Pompeii and the toilet doors of several Mayan ruins. Probably. More recently, graffiti artists have taken to defacing train carriages with their artwork. Yes it’s naughty but it can be incredibly cathartic, especially when you’re bored. So how do upstanding citizens get to graffiti a train without risking an ASBO? No, they don’t sneak into the sidings at night; they buy the brilliant Graffiti Your Own Train.
You can bring home the Graffiti Train for £24.95 and start honing your skills today.
Thummer electronic musical instrument

The Thummer is an electronic musical instrument that comes with 114 keys, and is actually a portable synthesizer that can conjure up some pretty dynamic tunes assuming you have the musical aptitude to use it. Features include a unique input scheme, thumb-controlled joysticks, and buttons located behind the device. You can play the Thummer when it is placed on a stand or a tabletop – alternatively, the Thummer can be used as a handheld keyboard. Musicians will be able to better express themselves as you get 7 degrees of freedom while playing, and with pressure sensitive keys, it is possible to come up with some really soul-stirring tunes. Unfortunately, the Thummer has not gone into production just yet and remains a working prototype. Any investors willing to take up this challenge?
