Inkless metal pen developed
There is nothing quite as irritating as picking up a ball-point pen that doesn’t work, and even more so when you have done so one after another. Why can’t people just throw away old pens that do not work instead of amassing a rather sizable collection that do nothing but contribute to the overall clutter of the environment? How different would the world be if pens did not use any sort of ink to write stuff down? This is what we’ll explore today, with the inkless metal pen that does not contain a single drop of ink (as evident by its name, of course), and yet is capable of writing on most paper types without the need for a refill? Sounds almost like magic with a fair sprinkling of pixie dust, doesn’t it? I surely thought so, but there’s more to this inkless metal pen than meets the eye.

Face robot blurs line with reality
We all know about R2-D2, but what about WD-2? This robot might sound somewhat like a distant relative of everyone’s beloved astromech droid, but in reality, it is but a “face robot” – that is, a robot that boasts a face which looks extremely realistic, just like an actual human. Now this is certainly a stunning development – could we see future robots that look like Sonny from I, Robot? Only time will tell, but here’s more skinny on the WD-2. This unique Face Robot is capable of making facial expressions that some would say are even more human-like when compared to actual humans. You know, I suppose that holds true especially for our stone faced History teachers at school who seem to be a living antiquity, murmuring to oneself about the Boston Tea Party and never showing a countenance other than that of a tight-lipped, grim face.

Gamercize – Forced Exercise for Gamers

Games consoles may be great for entertainment but they’re not so good from a fitness point of view (the Wii being the exception to that rule), the Gamercize intends to change that as in order to play your favourite vieo games you must exercise at the same time.
The Gamercize GZ Sport’s intensity dial ramps up the difficulty when you want a bigger challenge. Once your pace slows below a certain intensity, the controller disconnects from the PS2, and you have to get moving again.
There are two different Gamercize products, the Power Stepper and Endurance Cycle. Prices are $159.99 and $179.99 respectively.
Advanced UMPC communicator, by Elektrobit
Here’s a new and advanced UMPC built by the Finnish company Elektrobit (or just EB). It’s called the MIMD or Mobile Internet Media Device, and features a slew of connectivity, media and navigation features.
The form factor might seem familiar, as it’s almost a replica of the Sony Vaio UMPC’s. However, the build is a bit different, there’s other hardware inside and the software is completely another thing.

Label Maker gets into Compact Disc printing
It’s no secret that CD & DVD users long to have professional looking labels on the movies and audio collections they create. But stickers can damage the CD or even the players should the centripetal force of spinning the disk cause it to separate. And printing directly onto a disc from your PCs printer is a patent owned by only one printer manufacturer.
So, athough Epson printer users can enjoy printing directly onto CD & DVDs, users of Canon, HP and other printers can’t enjoy the ability of putting full color designed onto the discs of their most cherished video memories or cd collections. Dymo, the company that ‘s know for those colorful strip label makers, answers the call with their Dymo DiscPainter.

Vista users get downgrade option
It is pretty ironic that Microsoft is now offering the option for Vista Business and Ultimate users to downgrade their operating systems to Windows XP instead. This move applies only to buyers of new machines that come with Vista Business/Ultimate, so those who have picked machines that are pre-loaded with Vista Home/Enterprise are out of luck. I personally have not made the jump to Vista yet when I got my Dell Inspiron, and after hearing all the horror stories connected to Microsoft’s latest OS, I guess I made the right choice – for now, at least.

Matrix Bathrobe concept

While the Matrix trilogy is well over and done with, many people still find the fashion sense in the movies to be of extremely high standards. Architect Bart Lens has come up with the Matrix Bathrobe concept that is designed with similar oversized, flowing material which made Keanu Reeves the ultimate authority where “coolness” is concerned. The Bathrobe concept promises “a dashing, hussar-like appearance” to whoever wears it. Imagine putting a bunch of knives along the edge of this robe – you’d then look like Clone Zero of King of Fighters fame.
