Silly String Rifle ups ridiculous ante

by Edwin

silly-string-rifle.jpgJust when you thought shooting water at your friends was rather daft, the Silly String Rifle comes along and throws all sorts of common sense out of the window. You had better not try to play this around your home if mom is around as there would be hell to pay when it comes to cleaning up. No idea on how much it retails for, but other than the monetary cost you would have to forgo your dignity and pride playing with one of these.

Garmin launches Edge 705 and Edge 605

by Edwin

garmin-edge750.jpgIs a cycling computer just that – a plain, old, cycling computer? I guess not at the rate technology moves. Garmin has just announced a couple of new devices in the form of the Edge 705 and Edge 605 which comes with virtually everything except the kitchen sink. The top of the line Edge 705 is an integrated personal training system, complete with a 2.2″ color display, mapping capabilities, street navigation, and the ability to track vertical profiles, climb and descent, altitude, speed, distance, time, cadence, and heart rate. Sounds like a whole bunch, and the next thing you know they’ll probably throw in a blood pressure monitor or some sort of ability to clean your house by outperforming the iRoomba. But I digress – the 705 also sports the ability to monitor power output on the same display and share information such as courses, waypoints, and workouts with other Edge 705 users via ANT+Sport wireless technology.

Mr. Fusion

Do you remember that scene from the movie Back to the Future II, on which Doc Brown comes back on his DeLorean time machine equipped with Mr. Fusion, a reactor that turns garbage into energy? Now reality is copying fiction once again, with a brand new Brazilian project developed by the Institute of Technological Research (IPT) and the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA).

Harman Kardon has just unveiled their brand new Cinespecial 29, bringing the high end 29 DVD player and the uber powerful AVR 350 A/V receiver in a totally new industrial design. Let’s sit back and see what the AVR 350 has to offer for consumers. For starters, the 7.1 channel AVR 350 receiver comes with a couple of HDMI 1.2a inputs that offer the ability to send and receive video signals in full HD (1080p) – you really can’t get anything better than that these days in your home. Not only that, you also benefit from the processing of associated audio signals along with upscaling of analog S-video or composite video signals to 720p (HDTV) thanks to Faroudja technology.

Rock, Paper, Scissors – New and Improved

by Al

When playing the traditional Rock, Paper, Scissors game I find it can get a little boring (particularly when my daughter always decides she’s going to be Scissors every time!) Well, if you fancy having a bit more of a challenging game of this classic pastime, why don’t you try the version as seen at Uber Review.

Rock, Paper, Scissors

I think it could provoke a few heated discussions as to what actually beats what – open to quite a bit of interpretation on some of them!

S3 – The Light-up Pooper Scooper

by Al

S3 Poop

If the telescopic poop catcher doesn’t work for you and your dog here’s a way to scoop the poop quickly and hygienically, the S3 Poop Scoop.

I must admit S3 isn’t a name that I’d instantly associate with poop scoopers but as poop scoopers go it’s pretty cool (I can’t believe I just typed that). It incorporates a light for night time dog walking action, and also resembles a baseball bat for self defence. I think if you hit anybody with a baseball bat full of crap they will probably back away.

The Korean company Seoul Commtech presents a different kind of door lock, which looks more like a cell phone at first sight, with a thickness of only 21.5 mm! The EZon Home Network System SHS-1110 has a touchscreen and is made of aluminum alloy and tempered glass.
