Taste the Beer of the Sith: the Darth Vader stein

The Coolest Star Wars Stuff series continues: this time you get to sip on the pure dark side (or is it stout?) directly from Darth Vader’s head.
Actually, it seems that Anakin is slowly coming back and doing good things. After serving as a phone, nutcracker and even as a means of transportation, this time he’ll help you drink your beer in style and will it from spilling too.

Cordless air pump for on the go

At the pool these days, you’ll find kids riding these crazy looking inflatable tubes, rafts, loungers, and all sorts of other things you’d never expect to see. Now, if you’re the parent of one of the kids who owns those crazy inflatable things, it’s going to be your job to keep them inflated. Don’t even bother attempting blowing it up by yourself, that’ll take a good hour. You could use a pump at home, but then you have to get it in the car and drive with it, which is a dangerous task in itself. Anyway, my point is, and sometimes it’s nice to have something portable that you can take with you on the go. That’s exactly what the AirPro is, a cordless air compressor/pump.

Desktop printer does electronic circuits

We have all come to accept the fact that desktop printers are good for printing virtually all office documents with panache, but electronic circuits? Now that’s a new idea. U.K. researchers have successfully developed an experimental device which comes loaded with a silver salt solution and vitamin C, resulting in the ability of the device to produce electronic circuits. The very same team of researchers claim that this device when manufactured and used on a large scale will be able to provide a safer and cheaper method of manufacturing all things electronic. Printing an entire circuit board definitely augurs well for the silicon industry where current methods are energy intensive and pollutes the environment.

All your base are belong to us!
In this day and age, to go to war without Global Positioning System (GPS) would practically be suicide, as you won’t be able to pinpoint the exact location of your targets as well as troops. The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has obviously thought about such a GPS-less situation, and has awarded a concept development contract to a team of bigwig corporations led by none other than Boeing. Known as the Robust Surface Navigation (RSN) program, this technology will concentrate on developing technologies which are capable of exploiting different “signals of opportunity” – basically any electronic waves emanating from satellites, cellphone towers, and even TV transmission towers. This technology will be able to provide the exact location and navigation information to ground troops even when GPS signals are unavailable or blocked.

Remember when those Razor scooters from Sharper Image were all the rage? I do. They got thousands of people to shell out $100 for a two wheeled metal scooter. Nowadays, you can pick one up for $20. With one of their newest products, the RipStik Caster Board, it’s pretty clear that Sharper Image is trying to reproduce the success of those Razor scooters. To do this, they’re combining surfing and snowboarding onto a board with only two wheels.
