iTunes adds Complete My Album feature

by Mike

iTunes Logo
Thanks, Apple. Even though you’re a bit late with this, I still appreciate it. You see, today Apple released a new feature for iTunes called “Complete My Album.” It’s kinda sorta self explanatory, but not really. Read on if you want to know more.

Write as rain! Write in the shower (or other wet places)

by Fred

That’s right, maybe you’ll be in Kuala Lumpur for the next Formula one race in a week making me jealous. While there it’s likely you’ll be standing in some torrential downpour. Rather than getting out your MPoleskine or Palm pilot, why not go with a Rite in the Rain notepad?Fear no Rain

Why,, because it’s waterproof! Umm,, that’s about it. But hey, don’t just take my word for it. Ben over at The Consumerist believes in testing,, lots of testing. As he apparently is out of scantily clad females he instead used himself as the guinea pig, and (don’t worry, he doesn’t take anything off, it’s work safe) he shows you just how waterproof these notepads are.

It made me think that these are really great, not just for the simple task of taking notes at an F1 race (someday), but for people out in the field working in environments, that, well maybe aren’t the most favorable. Continue reading » Write as rain! Write in the shower (or other wet places)

If you read a lot of books and your house is full of them, then the Bibliochaise is an extremely useful item, and a good asset for your living room. The Bibliochaise is a different kind of chair, designed for people who love to read and want to keep their favourite books close at hand.

Celebrity Scales

Celebrity Weighing Scales

scales.jpgThere’s nobody more weight concious than celebrities, bless-em. So why not see how you compare with the amusing celebrity weighing scales.

Instead of finding out how many pounds and ounces you meed to lose weigh, hop on the scales and find out which celebrity shares your weight. It will bring a whole new light to dieting, “I used to be Yoda but I lost a Gizmo and now I’m the Karate Kid”.

The celebrity scales are available from our friends at Firebox.

Clever Cleavers, chopping board and knife combined

by Al

s_clever_hands.jpg Clever Scissors

I’m surprised I’ve not come across these before, cleaver scissors, a combination of knife, chopping board and scissors.

I’ve been cutting home made pizzas with a pair of scissors for years, pizza loving guests (love of pizza is a pre-requisite for an invitation to my abode) always give me a strange look when I start slicing with a pair of scissors but it doesn’t take long for them to be converted to the easy way of cutting the perfect slice. Star Wars Postage Stamps

Star Wars Postal Stamps

We reported on the R2-D2 mailboxes earlier in the month and now comes the next convergence in the force between Star Wars and the United States Postal Service, the official Star Wars postage stamps.

The sheet contains 15 different stamps, each graced by a familiar face, scene or ship from the films. There’s also a vote going on where the favourite stamp will be recreated on a sheet all of it’s own, I voted for Vadar. When I last looked there had been 13,290 votes and there is still 55 days to go.

More info, voting and availability over at USPS Jedi Master.

BlueAnt’s Interphone Handsfree For Motorcyclists

by Tiago

BlueAnt’s Interphone Handsfree For Motorcyclists

It is not the first time we mention BlueAnt and their bluetooth headsets, remember the BlueAnt X5?

This time they have come up with a device that targets a “small” population instead of the over populated market like normal headsets. The Interphone Handsfree & Intercom is oriented for motorcyclists and it is suppose to be used on different kind of helmets – full faced or open faced.

So, what is so special about the latest BlueAnt device? A lot of stuff:

  • water resistant, so no worries when it is raining while you are on the road
  • better than average digital signal processor, which means less exterior noise/echo to offer a better listening experience
  • intercom feature, this one is pretty good – if other motorcyclists have another BlueAnt device and are near you (490 feet), just start a chat session in a matter of seconds

The evil Banclock

by Mike

The evil Banclock
One day, when I have the ridiculously large disposable income (it’s getting there. . . :) ), I’m going to start my own wacky clock collection. We’ve already got plenty of them at CG, so I guess I might as well add one more. Besides, the more the merrier in my collection. I like the Banclock because of how ridiculously evil it is. It won’t shut up until you give it a little motivation to do so. It prefers coins.
