Contrary to what you may think, it is NOT easy to break the glass out and escape without using a tool. A cell-phone did not work, kicking it wasn't successful, (a rock usually isn't handy) and only a tool designed to break auto glass was a dependable way to break it. I'm getting one of these for each of my kids, as well as myself. It looked as if one of the tools they used was this one, and it worked well.
