Mains Adapter Bug

November 25th, 2006 by Al in Spy Stuff

Adaptor bugThe spy world is full of cool gadgets, I was browsing around Spy Review and came across this total innocuous bug disguised as a UK 2 way mains adapter (I have 100s of these things dotted around my house, generally plugged into 4 way adapters).

The mains adapter room bug not only bugs a room but the adapter side of it also works and provides the required power (so you no longer need to sneak in to change the batteries).

The cheapest (~£50) version of the bug uses VHF for transmission, though if required you can spend a bit of extra lolly and get a UHF or narrowband version (must admit I’ve got no idea what the difference is).

For info over at spy review, another cool English blog about spy gear and all that sort of fun stuff, cheers Dan.
