Well, apparently you have to boil water anyway to fill the Pasta Express, then let it sit for 10 minutes. How does that save time? And the website says to pour hot water into the container before adding the pasta, to warm it up and decrease the cooking time. Why not just boil the water in a pot, add the pasta and cook it there? It's the same amount of time and there's no worry about undercooked pasta. Duh.

I bought one of these, and it sucked..it doesn't cook the pasta..no matter how hot the water is, and no matter how long you leave it in there..you might as well just cook it the old fashion way, because then you don't have to worry about uncooked pasta

I bought one of these and it was terrible! It doesn't "cook" the pasta, just makes it go soft. Tasted raw - inedible. I threw mine away... the gadget AND the pasta!

[...] If you think of the amount of time it takes to prepare these meals it would be very easy to think “I wish there was a kitchen gadget that could do this quicker!” Now there are kitchen gadgets to help you prepare meals quicker.
Reviews of this pasta maker on Amazon have been pretty poor. Most report that it doesn't actually fully cook pasta. It sounds like a good idea but it may not actually be worthwhile.
