Watch spread comes with Bluetooth
It seems that as more and more people are affluent enough to purchase cellphones, they tend to shun picking up a watch as the cellphone already comes with a built-in clock that tells the time equally well. The only drawback would be the hassle of dragging the handset out of the pocket each time you want to see how many minutes are there left before you head home from work after a stressful day. Hence, the once-faithful watch has been relegated to the position of a fashionable timepiece for most, and a collectors’ item for a selected, privileged few.
Fossil and Sony Ericsson decided to stop the rot in casual watch sales by working together to introduce the MBW-100 watch that comes with Bluetooth connectivity. This technologically advanced watch is capable of connecting to your Bluetooth-enabled cellphone (duh), whereby is will then show you information like Caller ID on a small LCD display on the watch itself. Thus, if you have a Bluetooth headset to go as well, there is virtually no need to take the phone out of your pocket for the entire day, unless you want to send and read text messages.
You can also control the music on your handset via the MBW-100. This watch is compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled Sony Ericsson phones and comes pretty handy (no pun intended) when you’ve got your hands full. They’re a tad pricey though, retailing for $399 a pop which makes it more of a luxury item than something which you walk into a store to buy.
