Pull the Perfect Pint at Home with the HD3600

HD3600 Perfect Draft

As our regular readers may have noticed a few members of the CG team (all bar 1 I think(no pun intended)) do enjoy the odd tipple or two. We’ve had to suffer the hardship of testing the Guiness Surger and comparing the taste with all other types of Guinness. Then there was the time we crawled round London pubs looking for looking for Sub Zero Beer, though unsuccessful this has now turned into another ongoing quest. This latest drinking gadget is another one for the home drinker, Phillips HD3600 - PerfectDraft, pull the perfect pint of draught lager at home.

The HD3600 may have a name more suited to a plasma screen but it is the beer drinkers new found friend.

Congratulations on acquiring this new PerfectDraft. From now on you can enjoy the perfect taste of a draft beer at home. The system will keep your beer fresh and at exactly the right temperature so that you can always enjoy nice and cool draft beer. Once the PerfectDraft has
been installed, you can pour beer at home by just pulling the tap handle.

Once you’ve loaded a keg up it will last for 28 days (which should be plenty of time to finish it off), there is some bad news though. I was looking at the list of countries and types of keg and this is what I found:

  • The Netherlands - Hertog Jan, Hertog Jan, Jupiler and Bavaria
  • Belgium - Jupiler and Jupiler
  • Luxembourgh - Diekirch

So what about every other beer lover, where’s the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Australia and everybody else.

I’ve just checked the sites stats and less than 1% of our visitors are from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg combined so if you are one of the lucky 1% you can get further info on the HD3600 over at Philips (if you have one please let us know what it’s like, but don’t rub our noses in it :)).

Hé hé hé,

Here in Belgium, i’m the very happy owner of a perfectdraft.
It’s a cool device but the beer is 2x more expensive !
€ 7 for 24 bottles of 25cl
€ 15 for 6 liter keg…
But the beer is so goooooood !!!!
If you have a trip in Belgium, come home and enjoy a beer ;-)

This is a video of mine being put to a good use.

I can’t complain, but the Kegs empty up rather quickly, I went trough three already and I haven’t got it for more than three weeks.

There’s more beer available for the perfect draft, you can also get Grolsch (mmmmm….) and Dommelsch in the Netherlands, Stella in Belgium and it’s now available in Germany (Beck’s, Hasseroeder, Diebels) as well.

I was over in the Netherlands today and saw this. It looked awesome and I almost picked ond up. So I have the same question as above. Does anyone know if these kegs are available in the states (even if pricey) as I will move back there within a year and would love to take this back with me.

Currently you have the following beers available:
- Belgium: Jupiler, Stella, Leffe Blond
- Luxembourg: Diekirch
- Netherlands: Dommelsch, Hertog Jan, Jupiler, Grolsch, Bavaria, Leffe Blond en Bavaria Hooghe Bock
- Germany:

To the best of my knowledge there aren’t any additional countries scheduled where the PerfectDraft will be released.

We sell the appliance and the belgian brands in our shop.
Note, we only sell within the European Union, we do not export items.
If you are outside of the E.U. and looking into buying this, you can get it from the BelgianShop

I’m a Philips employee and my coworkers, family, friends, et all are very pissed off that we can’t get a device and beer in the states. The good news is that the product launch was severly delayed due to litigation with Heinekin, the bad news is - we still don’t have it in the US yet. Keep on hoping as asking for it, I’ve sampled the wares over there and it is awesome - my mouth waters imaging this puppy alongside for MNF and March Madness. Come on Uncle Phil, bring the Perfect Draft to the US of A!

I have one of these - i moved to the netherlands because of it.
Ok not really, but I do have one and its fantastic, when guests come around it really adds to the evening, the important thing is to have PLENTY of kegs in the fridge and have the fridge set to MAXIMUM, else it takes aaaaaaaaaages (12 horus) for the kegs to cool down.
Fantastic beer and has saved me a fortune in going to put, espeically good since the fiddler in den haag doesnt brew its own beer any more.. twunts..
