Electric Ice Cream Scooper for the impatient
When you want ice cream at home, you want it instantaneously. Waiting for the ice cream to thaw, while only taking minutes, seems like hours. You’re just impatient, but there is a solution, the Electric Ice Cream Scooper! All your troubles are gone, at least the ones relating to ice cream. . .
It’s like any other high quality scooper, it’s made of metal that will scoop thawed ice cream easily. The real beauty is the electric part, the scooper actually heats up to make scooping that much easier, you could scoop at a entire galloon in minutes.
The rest of the features are pretty standard and boring. It’s got a nonstick surface, which makes cleaning simple, and a drip guard to make sure you don’t get any ice cream on your hands or shirt.
One part that may prove to be pesky is the cord that goes out of the scooper, you need to get power to heat it from somewhere? I don’t think solar power would be a good idea, either. It’s only a minor inconvenience and doesn’t outweigh the benefits.
For the ice cream loving and extremely impatient crowd, the Electric Ice Cream Scooper will just about perfect your life. It’s pretty cheap, too: available from Front Gate for $25.

[...] Behold! The Crust Cutter! Another fine example of a product we don’t need but we’re somehow CONVINCED we need—facilitating not to simplify our lives, as it purports to, but to bog it down further, not unlike the stuck kitchen drawer you can never open because it’s been jammed to the brim with assorted kitchen gadgetry you never use, such as the tea-drip catcher, the spoon rest, and the Can Pop opener, and the electric ice-cream scoop. If you are scooping for a multiple people, the boiling water trick will not be as convenient. Someone else praised it for being a lifesaver when serving 80+ people!

This sounds really useful. It is worst when the icecream has been in the freezer for days (or weeks) on end and it has become rock hard! I would imagine that in situations such as this, the electric icecream scooper would come in very handy.

This sounds like a good thing but I’m betting it will take a good while before the scooper heats up to a suitable temperature to be usable.
Just get a normal scooper dunk it in boiling water for 10 seconds and you have the same thing.
