Drink-O-Matic

Drink-O-Matic
The coolest thing possible would be to have a soda fountain or vending machine in your house, too bad it’s extremely expensive and you probably couldn’t get anyone to sell it to you.

The next best thing would be the Drink-O-Matic, a vintage soda machine. It’s not full size, though, it will handle up to 10 cans of soda, beer, juice, water, anything that fits really. I don’t think candy will work, but it’s worth a try. Your drinks will be cooled to 30 degrees (Fahrenheit) below the outside temperature.

The outside of the Drink-O-Matic looks pretty cool, it’s red and curved. There’s a vintage-style handle and a large window so you can see all the drink currently in stock. Each level has a button that when pressed will dispense your drink and you just pick it up out of the bottom. How cool.

Unfortunately there’s no way to insert your nickel, so you’re going to have to give drinks away free. You could always open the door, too, but that would be cheating.

The unit itself is pretty compact; you can easily fit it under a desk, in a small cupboard, or in the corner of a room. The dimensions are 25 1/2″ x 16 1/2″ wide x 9″ deep and when empty, it weighs 18 pounds. For power, just use the included AC adapter.

The Drink-O-Matic is pretty sweet, your own personal, and vintage, vending machine. Available from Sharper Image for $150 and there’s a 90 day warranty.
