Slipstreamz Cycling Headphones
by Liam in Audio/Video Gadgets
I know that one of the most jolting things that can happen to you on a bike is suddenly hearing a horn blaring from behind you. I usually bike with my ear buds in, however, I find sometimes just the wind makes it hard to hear whether or not you’re about to be flattened like a pancake.
The Slipstreamz is a new gadget that allows you to listen to your music while allowing you to hear the street noise as well as blocking the wind noise! Your ear buds are connected to the ear pieces which are then attached to the straps of your helmet (so yes, it makes you stay safe as well!). They hold the ear buds just far enough out from your ears to let you hear the music, but not shut out the sounds around you. They can also block that annoying noise the wind makes while you’re whizzing down the street, and could act as ear muffs when it’s cold but you just have to be out there.

May 14th, 2009 at 4:22 amI’m not sure i’d like these over my ears. I’d prefer a speaker system for my bike if I was going to have something.

May 25th, 2009 at 1:22 amSomething like the Lavod bike speaker would probably be better. You can definitely hear the road and it also doubles up as a front light
