Timesphere clock
June 30th, 2006 by Paz in Cool Clocks
I know there are too many clock gadgets on the market already, but this one’s pretty unique.
There’s no pointer, just a gravity-defying red ball that presumably is magnetic and follows a magnetised rotor underneath the dial.
The clock was designed by Gideon Dagan, an Israeli who studied industrial design at Tel Aviv University and is now based in California. Dagan is becoming renowned for his minimalist, functional designs and has won numerous design awards. Here’s a link to his online gallery of his award winning designs.
The Timesphere clock was designed for the Museum of Modern Art, and is available for $48 from Moma Store.
