I bought a Flowbee years ago for $70 – which really hurt. But it really has paid for itself many times over. I get a decent haircut every time, I don’t have to drive to and pay a barber, and I get a predictable haircut every time. But I am a closet Flowbee-ist.

I’ve been using the flowbee for 16 years now and I haven’t had a problem with it at all. I have cut My parents, Sisters, Brothers, Sons, Nephews, Well, My entire family’s hair, And have done so, in many many different styles. Everyone has saved lots of time and Money. I know people that havent used it Make Jokes about the Flowbee. But I dont know what I would do without mine!.

Been using the Flowbee for over 20 years and have had no problems other than getting new spacers, just recently. Everyone thinks I go to a girl named Flo. It never looks like I just got a hair cut as I cut it every two weeks. Being in entertainment, I need to always look my best and hair stylists are constantly in and out of the business. That is how it all started, couldn’t get my hair cut when I needed to before a show. Problem solved.

Used 18 years and still going.
$89.00 initial investment
Avoided paying $30 per haircut since then. I figure about 216 of them which would equate to $6480.00. Do the math!!!

Hey, I’m the same way. I have been using one for twenty years mainly ’cause I’m too cheap to pay for haircuts. One nice thing is that when you give it a go, it does not look radically different, like you just had a haircut or something. Just a little shorter and smoother. From time to time when I hear people making fun of Flowbee, I don’t defend it, I just keep my mouth shut and have the last laugh. If my hair looks ragged from time to time, it’s because I was too lazy to cut it, not due to the haircut. The knack is to do it in steps, like the other guy said, and know which length spacer to use, and use the tapered ones on the right sides. You can’t mess it up because it doesn’t let you, really. I can’t imagine the thousands of dollars I’ve saved over the years.

Al are you still scared? Come sit by me and hold my hand (kidding Al).
Got my Flowbee and used it. It compares to the electric razor without the mess, with length options. If you used it correctly, you should be pleased.
I read horror stories, one got hair tangled, another looked like the mange. I surmise these unfortunate users didn’t follow directions. Put a couple of drops of their oil on the blades before each use. Barbers do that. Never cut off more than recommended (I think 1/4 or 1/2 inch at a time). You just can’t put a 5 inch pony tail in the thing and expect it to cut a perfect 2 in length, without some serious problems. Cut it several inches long, then cut it a little shorter until you get to the desired length. If you have really long hair to start with, cut some off first with shears.
I love my haircut, it trimmed those few hairs that I didn’t get perfectly cut with shears. And fast, I can keep my hair looking perfectly trimmed by using it every couple of weeks. It was well worth the money.

I’ll probably be a closet Flowbee user because they seem to be the butt of jokes on the web. I’ve heard about them for years, just ordered one from their website today. There are some on Ebay too. My spike haircut is one length and it takes a while but I manage to cut it myself. I hope the flowbee makes cutting my hair simpler and faster. There I have said it out-loud.

I have been using my Flowbee for over 20 years and the only
parts that I have had to replace were the plastic spacers at less than ten bucks. Ibe saved thousands on haircuts…

Thanks, now you mention it I do recall seeing adverts for it years ago. I’m pleased to say I don’t think it ever took off here in the UK.

Uh, the flowbee has been around since the mid 80’s, and was heavily advertised right next to the likes of chia-pets and the hair-club for men.
