[...] It would be so nice to be able to go for a canoe over what is left of the great barrier reef. My only fear would be looking down over all the sharks who can’t wait to eat me. Hammacker Schlemmer are selling a kayak-canoe hybrid. It has a transparent polymer hull, giving you the ability to see through the bottom of the vessel while moving along the water surface. Advertised as being made of the same polymer that cockpit canopies in fighter jets use, which I hope makes them ultra strong. On top of that, it has a lightweight anodized aluminum frame (won’t rust so fast), and can seat two people. You won’t need to take a friend with you, seeing it weighs in at under 20 kgs (even my chicken wing arms can lift that), and measures 33 1⁄2″ W x 133″ L x 11″ D. Even though you don’t need much strength to lift it, you will need a heavy wallet to pay for it, at $US1,459.95 (why even bother with 95 cents?). Still for a interesting, different and maybe even fun water experience, being able to see the wildlife under you, would be pretty cool. For more info, paddle furiously over to the Coolest Gadget Website. [...]
