USB Turntable (Rip Vinyl)
May 18th, 2006 by Al in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets, PC Gadgets
Before MP3 there was Cd’s, before that tapes and even earlier still there was vinyl (and somewhere along the way mini-discs came and went).
Though vinyl still seems to be alive (just) it’s not the most portable of formats. This latest gadget the USB Turntable helps you rip your vinyl collection onto your PC so you can carry it around in your pocket rather than a rucksack.
You connect the turntable to your PC, spin your vinyl and capture the music (scratches and all), your old classics can then be saved as MP3s to be played on a more modern medium.
The USB turntable is available from Firebox for 120 pounds.

Quite simply, the olden music always strikes me as the best, very unlike all of this modern day crap. The Ion USB Turntable now allows me to bring out the best of the 60’s into the digital world.
