Hi Stephen, yes it looks like youtube were forced to take down the video because the BBC complained about the content.

I would love to see the video but it says the video is no longer available (I have Flash plugin 8.0). Can I still view it?

Jeramiah, I’ve tidied up the html code a little to give it broader support for different browsers, but my feeling is that you would have to install or update your flash plugin (version 8.0) to see it. It’s a pain I know; but definitely worth it.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for that. Yes, I checked the BBC website and they’ve updated and released the identity of the “taxi driver”; Guy Goma who was indeed an IT job applicant.

He did so well in the interview though. I wonder if he’ll get the job… and will he get the standard BBC pundit’s fee?

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for him!

The story as posted is not quite true. As the BBC explains, the “taxi driver” was in fact someone who turned up for a job interview, whose first name is Guy. The assistant went to the wrong reception and when he called out the name “Guy”, this unlucky man strode into the breach, as the Guy the assistant was after, was in a completely different part of the building.
