Skin ya Roomba

iRobot
If you’re the proud owner of one of those friendly robotic cleaners the Roomba or Scooba and are getting a bit bored of the look of them; instead of reverting back to conventional cleaning which you do your self (as if) you can now skin it. So the idea of skinning has now moved from software applications to domestic robotic cleaners (as I’m sure everybody expected).

I actually think this is quite a cool idea, pretty pointless but cool non the less. The idea of a pizza vacuuming up after me just seems appopriate in a surreal sort of way.
iRobot Pizza Skin
There are plenty of skins to choose from including the Quarter skin (imagine a giant quarter hovering your room), the Smilie (smiling whilst cleaning just seems wrong) and my personal favourite the Pizza. If you can’t find a skin that suits you, you can even design your own, though why you’d want to have a photograph of your nearest and dearest on your floor cleaning robot is beyond me.

You can browse and buy online from iRobotSkins.com, just think how much your robot will thank you for it :).

I like these Roomba/Scooba guys. Any little-robo maid that cleans up after me is a hero. My favourite skin is the flower - anything that yellow has be a social animal, erm robot.

I suppose you have one at home Al?

If you think those stickers are cute, you should check out the . The costumes turn your Roomba into a little animal. I personally like the ladybug. What’s even cutier is that the company was started by four kids!

Cheers Franklin, they look cool. Kids always have the best fun ideas.

Alexia, I’ve not got one yet but I should as I’m not known for getting the hoover out that often.

I am, literally, a brand new owner of a Roomba and a Scooba. I have a friend who owns the pair and was completely sold on them through her. These little guys work! I was stunned at how much the Roomba picked up off of a floor I thought was only moderately dirty. I feel so Jane Jetson! Anyhow, like any proud new owner I’ve been searching around for goodies and found this blog about skins and think I’ve stumbled upon my first accessory purchase. I love the idea of a pizza cleaning my living room. HA!
