Wow - 64GB??? That’s monstrous for such a small device. I wonder if they use a chip-stacking chip package or something to achieve that. I’d like to see one taken-apart to see how they did it.

Precisely, it would be interesting to know how they managed to come up with such a huge capacity. Perhaps, it all boils down to the possibility of the use of nanotechnology and being able to compactly fit as much logic gates onto the circuitry as possible.

I’ll tell you all what is really up. The technology exists right now to make a 500 GIGABYTE Thumb Drive, perhaps even 1 Terrabyte. You think everyweek developers are like “hey, I figured out how to add 2% more to this thumb drive, let’s spend millions to release it” no way, they have the technology to go 10000% HIGHER than what exists, but they can’t climax without milking the market as they climb the ladder. What I’m saying is that we should not be surprised, because the thumb drives will do nothing but go up and up, and the prices down and down. Soon you’ll be able to buy a terrabyte thumb drive for a couple of hundred bucks, or less.

If we’re going to be paying upwards of $5-K well, I think one would have earned the privilege of having it gold plated and encrusted with diamonds for no extra charge, and a leather carry case with armor to protect it.
