Buslink 64GB USB 2.0 FlashDrive Pro II
by Keith in Miscellaneous Gadgets, PC Gadgets
Behold the power of USB devices! There are so many wonder stuffs you can do with USB drives, and the most popular usage is of course as a memory (thumb) drive. For some, a 512MB drive is quite good enough to store necessary personal data, but for others 2GB may not be enough. What can you do with such a huge capacity of USB flash drive? Well, what do you do with huge harddisk storage on your PC? The answer is just plain simple.
Anyway, what we have here is not 2GB, not 4GB, rather we have 64GB (Gigabytes) USB Flash drive from the Buslink Drive Pro 2 series.
Just right here, you can contain the entire data from your PC onto a small USB Flash drive, and carry the data wherever you go. How troublesome would that be if someone has to carry an external hard disk drive, or store data on a server, and download from another PC, when all it takes is just pull it out from your pocket. Despite the huge storage capacity, the size and weight is just like a normal USB Flash drive.
Being the first to introduce 8GB and 16GB flash drive, BUSLink has now broken the barrier and introduced the 32GB and 64GB flash drive. Under the PRO 2 Series, performance is known to be 4x faster than original Buslink USB 2.0 Flash Drive. According to the technical aspect, it is able to read up to 20MBps and write up to 15Mbps.
However, good things don’t really come cheap. This little gadget, costing a hefty $4999.99, may just burn a hole in your wallet. Well, if you think you have the money to spend and show-off yourself to be at the peak of technology, wait no more and purchase it online here.

March 30th, 2006 at 10:24 amWow - 64GB??? That’s monstrous for such a small device. I wonder if they use a chip-stacking chip package or something to achieve that. I’d like to see one taken-apart to see how they did it.

April 1st, 2006 at 11:51 amPrecisely, it would be interesting to know how they managed to come up with such a huge capacity. Perhaps, it all boils down to the possibility of the use of nanotechnology and being able to compactly fit as much logic gates onto the circuitry as possible.

When everyone was introduced to the usage of thumb drive during the early years, no one had ever think it would be so important to us now. I still remember when someone came up to me and inform me about the introduction of a new 32MB USB thumb drive. …

May 10th, 2006 at 3:05 pmI’ll tell you all what is really up. The technology exists right now to make a 500 GIGABYTE Thumb Drive, perhaps even 1 Terrabyte. You think everyweek developers are like “hey, I figured out how to add 2% more to this thumb drive, let’s spend millions to release it” no way, they have the technology to go 10000% HIGHER than what exists, but they can’t climax without milking the market as they climb the ladder. What I’m saying is that we should not be surprised, because the thumb drives will do nothing but go up and up, and the prices down and down. Soon you’ll be able to buy a terrabyte thumb drive for a couple of hundred bucks, or less.

July 12th, 2007 at 11:15 amIf we’re going to be paying upwards of $5-K well, I think one would have earned the privilege of having it gold plated and encrusted with diamonds for no extra charge, and a leather carry case with armor to protect it.
