One wonders if they specialize in weird gadgets in Japan because they really believe in them or if they just like making such strange fashion statements. However, I can tell you why the electrodes don't cover the entire scalp and why the shape will not cause a narrow strip of hair growth. If the theory is correct and the electrodes will stimulate more blood circulation to the area, then by applying the current to one area then the entire scalp will get the benefit of more blood being pulled to the area. However, there's a much cheaper way to get the blood going to the scalp area. Hot water alternating with cold water and a scalp massage will work nicely.
