For any Guinness fans in Dublin (that would be everyone then...) who want to give the Surger a go, check out Yamamori's Sushi restaurant on the north-side quays, just down from the Ha'Penny Bridge. They have a unit there, and are serving 35cl* 'pints' for 3.50 Euro.

Myself and a mate stumbled across it at the weekend, had never heard of the yoke, and the look on our faces when we saw it in action must have been something like when the first Roscommon man was introduced to an indoor toilet. We were gob-smacked.

It tastes fantastic, plus the 35cl 'pint' glasses also have the added benefit of making you look like a giant.

*Could have been more. We were guessing, as we didn't see the bottle it came out of clearly.

[...] As our regular readers may have noticed a few members of the CG team (all bar 1 I think(no pun intended)) do enjoy the odd tipple or two. We’ve had to suffer the hardship of testing the Guiness Surger and comparing the taste with all other types of Guinness. Then there was the time we crawled round London pubs looking for looking for Sub Zero Beer, though unsuccessful this has now turned into another ongoing quest. This latest drinking gadget is another one for the home drinker, Phillips HD3600 - PerfectDraft, pull the perfect pint of draught lager at home. [...]

At last its arrived been waiting a year for this moment,my brother was on the trails for the surger unit in dublin and i tried it back then and loved it my brother has not been a great fan of guinness before the unit but now loves it lol.
i am in the uk and just rang him to tell him its over in the uk now and he asked how much it was,£16.99 i said and he laughed
as he recommended about 8 euros to get people to buy it. but you must agree its the best pint you can get at home .

As far as I know it is only Tesco Extra that sell them (that's where I got mine from). It may be worth giving the Texco Head Office a call.

What a let down, it's impossible to find a place to buy the Guiness Surger. Tesco Extra seems not to have heard of it. April 1st has gone, hasn't it?

You mad bunch of loons! However, being a Guinness fan, I do have to agree that the Surger (a full pint, compared to a nearly full pint of widget Guinness!) is damned good!

I have the Surger, and have no need to account for my expenses...only how much washing up liquid I'll be using on the pint glasses to keep them 'Surger Clean' when under the influence :-)

EXTRA:

I fully recommend everyone to visit the Guinness Storehouse (THE Brewery!) in Dublin. It's worth every Euro you can muster up, and the whole Storehouse building is stunning!

Cheers!
